The CE-IRS4 is a Universal Control Extender that can be used with all control systems that allow connection via Open-API.
Universal Control Extender is used to control devices with IR or serial interface installed at a distance from the controller that is too great for direct cabling. The connection can be made either directly to the controller, if it has an appropriate interface, or through an Ethernet switch.
The CE-IRS4 can also be used as a supplement to a controller in order to have additional serial interfaces available if all interfaces on the controller are occupied.
