The Audio/Extractor decouples the embedded audio signal from an HDMI signal and makes it available for further processing in a sound system. The HDMI signal of the source is passed through to the sink unchanged, including the embedded audio signal. At the input and output, the signal is automatically additionally amplified to compensate for signal losses due to excessive cable lengths.
The audio signals are available both as an analog stereo signal (L/R) at RCA connectors and as S/PDIF (PCM 2.0 to Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1) via Toslink. For the video signal, HDMI signals with resolutions up to 4K@60Hz (4:4:4 8-bit) with HDCP2.2 are supported at the input and output.
