The BLU-8 remote control can manage parameters, sources and presets for up to eight zones simultaneously. It features an 8-position rotary selector, a volume control, four function keys, and a level meter. 3x modes can be programmed via the HiQnet London Architect software:
Single Zone Mode: when the BLU-8 remote control is used for a single zone, the 8-step knob can be used to select signal sources, for example. Presets or parameters of the respective source can then be selected via the 4x function keys. The parameters can then be changed via the Level knob.
Button Zone Mode: If control for up to 4x zones is desired, the zones can be selected via the 4x function keys. Each zone/button can be assigned a different color, which will be applied to all control elements when selected. Per zone, a source or a preset can then be selected via the 8-step control. The level is determined via the Level knob.
Encoder Zone Mode: If there are more than four zones, they are selected via the 8-step knob - again color-coded if desired. The function keys are then used to select the source or the preset of the respective zone and, if necessary, to change it via the level control.
The colors and display characteristics of the LED chain are also freely programmable. During operation of the Level control, the LED chain displays the control position, otherwise the signal level. Labeling fields and a locate function are also integrated in the BLU-8 and it is available in black or white.
Due to its simple controls and low price, the BLU-8 remote control is ideally suited for complex installations where frequently changing or untrained personnel are used.
