The CE-COM2 is a Universal Control Extender that can be used with all control systems that allow connection via Open-API.
The Control Extender is used to control devices with serial interface installed at a distance from the control center that is too great for direct cabling. The connection can be made either directly at the control center, if it has a corresponding interface, or via an Ethernet switch.
A cable distance of 100 m between control center and CE-COM2, or between switch and CE-COM2 can be realized. The CE-COM2 can also be used as a supplement to a control center in order to have additional serial interfaces available if all interfaces on the control center are occupied.
