AKG CS3 CU is the chairman microphone unit for participants in the AKG CS3 conference system. Of course, multiple chairman microphone units can also be operated in one system. The elegant housing combines a loudspeaker, a talk button and a priority button for deactivating the active delegate microphone units, e.g. to make an interim announcement.
The word is then passed back to the previously active delegate microphone units. In addition, the AKG CS3 DU has an Approve button that can be used to activate the microphone of the corresponding delegate microphone unit when a request to speak is made.
All buttons have LEDs to provide information about the current event at any time. The interchangeable goosenecks are available in lengths of 30 cm and 50 cm, both of which have an integrated illuminated ring that visually informs the speaker about the status of the microphone. Two headphone outputs and a volume control are provided on the side.
The wide speaking angle guarantees perfect speech intelligibility even with two people per microphone unit. The built-in loudspeaker is automatically lowered in level when the microphone is active to avoid feedback or noise. The microphone units are connected to the AKG CS3 BU control unit in up to three spur lines and guarantee high and undistorted speech intelligibility at a moderate price.
