JBL 9350 - Surround speakers for very large cinema halls
The JBL 9350 is a 3-way cinema surround speaker for upscale applications in very large halls. It has an extremely robust and low-resonance wooden cabinet. Thanks to its 15" woofer 1.5" and 1" tweeter drivers, it is extremely powerful and predestined for use in very large distances.
It combines several new technologies (all patent pending) that allow very powerful bass and clear midrange and precise treble reproduction. Furthermore, its radiation can be adapted to the position "side wall" or "rear wall". This is done by a special control of the two high-frequency drivers, each of which radiates into its own waveguide (horn).
The result is an extremely even sound distribution over the entire hall. The optimal listening area, which is normally limited to a few seats, is extended to considerably more seats. Thus, even in outer seats, both side and rear surround channels become much more audible. The number of acoustically optimal seats is thus considerably increased. In the case of "immersive sound" audio formats, each 9350 alone is capable of providing sound to the entire auditorium.
