The Crown CXM2000 is a 7.1 monitoring unit with integrated DSP. It can manage up to 8 different channels (L, C, R, Ls, Rs, Bsl, Bsr and Sub1/2). It allows individual monitoring of each audio channel from both the processor output and the power amp input. The connections are compatible with Crown DSi and XLC power amplifiers.
The DSP provides the front channels L, C, R with individually tuned fixed presets for JBL front speakers. Presets include crossover, EQ, and delay. Passive or bi-amp configurations of the following models are supported: 3252 (bi-amp and passive), 3722, 3722N, 3732, 3730 (bi-amp and passive), 4722, 4722N, 4732 and "Bypass".
The connection is made between the cinema processor and the amplifier via a HD-25 multipin cable. For signal transmission from the Crown CXM2000 to the power amplifiers, an HD-15 cable is used in each case. This system cabling is fast, reliable and cost-saving during installation. Additionally, status messages can be sent to the Theater Management System via the RS232 connection.
