The CAT1080 is a set of transmitter and receiver for transmitting HDMI signals up to 1080p@60Hz over twisted pair cable. The cable length can be up to 50m meters when using CAT6/6a/7 cables, and up to 40m when using CAT5e cables. The devices are HDCP1.4 compliant.
From the receiver, an IR control signal can be transmitted to the transmitter via the CAT cable to control a source connected there (e.g. DVD/Blu-ray player). The receiver can also be powered with the 5VDC universal power supply included in the delivery, connected to the transmitter.
