The JBL 3181F is an extremely flat subwoofer, which is equipped with a powerful 650 watt chassis. Due to the impedance of only 4 ohms, it also fits perfectly with smaller, inexpensive power amplifiers.
The small cabinet depth of only 355 mm allows space-saving positioning behind almost any screen. Since the connectors are on the top, the 3181F can be placed flush against a wall for easy installation. This makes the 3181F ideal as an LFE subwoofer in small halls with tight spaces.
Alternatively, it can be easily flown using the four suspension points, which makes it very interesting for surround subwoofer applications, such as Dolby Atmos. The 3181F and appropriate bass management can significantly reduce the load on the surrounds and increase the overall performance.
