The JBL DSI 2.0 amplifiers were developed specifically for use in cinemas. There are 3 power classes (Small, Medium, Large) as well as special variants with digital inputs. The DSI 2.0 are equally suitable for 5.1 / 7.1 or immersive formats in small halls or premium houses.

They are based on a highly efficient DriveCore chip amplifier technology that combines hundreds of components in one chip. This enables outstanding audio performance with minimal space requirements and low power consumption. The DSI 2.0 can be driven into 2, 4 and 8 ohms. This allows, for example, 4 surround to be connected to one channel.

The extensive DSP works with 96 kHz, 32 bit floating point. It includes, among other things, 8 input and 8 output EQs, crossover up to 48dB, delays up to 1,000 ms (input) or 100 ms (output) and 3 limiters for optimal speaker protection. The JBL DSI 2.0 amplifiers work with the SNMP and TCP/IP (Ethernet) protocol, which allows the integration into the Theater Management System (TMS). Remote maintenance and diagnostics can also be performed via Network Operation Center (NOC).

The free "Audio Architect" is used as control and monitoring software. For quick access without software, parameters can also be operated via the front panel. Connections are made on the input side via Phoenix connectors and on the outputs via screw terminals.
