The dbx 131S is a single channel Constant Q, 1/3 octave (third octave band) equalizer with 20 mm faders. The adjustable frequency range is between 20 Hz - 20 kHz (according to ISO standard).
The Input Gain control adjusts the input level by +/- 12 db. The low-cut works with 12 db/octave at 50 Hz (switchable filter). The fader adjustment range can be adjusted from +/- 6 db to +/-12 db. The dynamic range is over 108 db.
The dbx 131S has RF filtered inputs and outputs, each balanced and unbalanced as XLR and TRS jacks. The output level is indicated by four LEDs. A clip LED signals overloads.
