The AKG CGN99 H is a gooseneck microphone for lecterns and conference tables. The microphone reproduces sound very naturally and has a slight boost in the treble range to improve speech intelligibility.

Due to the hypercardioid polar pattern, the microphone is especially recommended when the speaker stands a little further away from the microphone. The optimum speaking distance is between 30 - 90 cm. The pickup angle of 95° prevents laterally scattering sounds from being reproduced and reduces the risk of feedback. The flexible joint in the gooseneck allows the microphone to be precisely aligned. The gooseneck of the AKG CGN99 H/L is 57.6 cm long and of the AKG CGN99 H/S 38 cm.

A foam windscreen prevents annoying popping and breathing noises. To suppress noise in the bass range, the microphone has a bass attenuator.

The AKG CGN99 H can be mounted on a tabletop or attached to a floor/desk stand using a stand adapter. The accessories required for this are optionally available.

Like all condenser microphones, the AKG CGN99 H requires a power supply (phantom power) of 9 - 52 volts. It can be connected to the microphone input of the mixing console or to a phantom power supply via the XLR connector.
