The AKG C518 M is a condenser microphone for miking drums and percussion. With the screw clamp, it can be quickly and securely attached to the instrument. The frequency response has been adjusted so that the sound of percussion instruments is reproduced very balanced.
The AKG C518 M has a cardioid polar pattern. This effectively prevents crosstalk between adjacent instruments. It also makes the microphone insensitive to feedback. The 5 cm gooseneck, which can be swiveled by 135°, allows you to precisely align the microphone.
The microphone capsule of the AKG C589 M is elastically mounted. Disturbing background noise caused by movement is thus reduced to a minimum. The switchable bass attenuation serves to avoid overemphasizing low frequencies.
The AKG C518 M requires a power supply (phantom power) of 9 - 52 volts. It can be connected to the microphone input of the mixing console or to a phantom power supply via a cable with XLR connector
The microphone is also available with a mini-XLR connector as AKG C518 ML. It can be connected to pocket transmitters of wireless systems or to a phantom power supply.
A windscreen, fixing bracket and cable are included.
