The DriveRack 4800 is a digital loudspeaker management system as a link between mixing console and power amplifiers.
The control concept allows the user instant access and complete overview for important parameters on the front panel of the unit. Fast configuration of the system is possible via the intuitive HiQnet software System Architect. Here, the user-friendly "Plug and Play" concept is optimally implemented through automatic IP assignment via DCHP.
The Drive Rack 4800 includes both graphic and parametric equalizers, notch filters, various line and speaker alignment delays, multiple crossover, compressor/limiter, phase compensation, real-time equalizer with noise generator, auto EQ and AFS (Advanced Feedback Suppression). It features 4x inputs and 8x outputs, analog and AES/EBU (up to 96 kHz). Cobranet I/O is available as an option. These can be freely configured and assigned for multi-way FOH, monitoring, multi-way delay lines or surround applications.
Integration into a HiQnet network, connection of ZC wall panels and an RTA microphone incl. phantom power are also possible or available.
A/D conversion is performed using dbx's patented Type IV process, which ensures smooth overdrive characteristics.
The 4800 Drive Rack System is also available as a cheaper version without front display/controls with the type designation 4820.
