The JBL VT4880A subwoofer is based on the VT4880 model. Both models are mechanically similar. In the VT4880A, however, 2x 2269H 18" chassis work. These are extreme long excursion drivers with very high power handling of 2,000 watts each (AES).
With double coil drive, neodymium magnet as well as differential drive and direct cooled systems, the most modern technologies are combined in one chassis. The acoustic result is an even higher maximum sound pressure of up to 142 dB and a lower cut-off frequency of 25 Hz at -10 dB.
