The JBL VTX A12W (W = Wide) line array is designed for very high level and quality requirements with a wide 120° dispersion. Typical applications are large events such as halls, stadiums, theaters, or open-air events.

All chassis and drivers have been newly developed. They work with neodymium magnets and double voice coils. This allows an exceptionally good performance with up to 146 dB SPL peak. The controlled 120° dispersion extends down to 250 Hz. The low lower cutoff frequency of 45 Hz also allows operation without a subwoofer.

The JBL VTX A12W system is driven 3-way active. Crown I-Tech HD are used exclusively as system amplifiers. The A12W system can be combined in an array together with A12 (90°) e.g. for close range.

The 4-point rigging system works with an "Auto-Locking" function, which makes setup and dismantling very fast and safe. Extensive accessories such as dollies, covers, variable flying frames and laser measuring instruments facilitate transport as well as set-up and dismantling.

The "Performance Manager" software package accompanies the VTX operator step by step. It supports planning, simulation, configuration, remote operation and monitoring of the system. This ensures correct operation and consistent results.
