The JBL SRX818S is a compact 18" subwoofer with high power handling. Typical users are PA rental companies, professional bands or fixed installations with high level requirements.
The JBL SRX818S is equipped with the new JBL 2279H 18" woofer, which has a very powerful and precise drive due to its dual voice coil.
The connection is made via one of the two NL4 connectors, which are also configurable in the assignment from 1+/- to 2+/-. This allows the full utilization of 4-pin Speakon cables and a simple, confusion-proof system wiring with appropriate tops.
The cabinet is made of 18 mm multiplex and is covered with JBL's DuraFlex paint. With the M20 screw flange, it lends itself as a stand base for mounting tops. The 4x handles make it very easy to handle. On the back side there are 4x 4 drive-in nuts as preparation for roller mounting.
Presets (also Cardioid) for different DSPs and power amps like Crown XTi, I-Tech HD or dbx DriveRack 360 are available via the Audio Architect software.
The JBL SRX818S is also available as an active loudspeaker under the model name JBL SRX818SP (powered) with an integrated DSP and amp module.
