The JBL COL600 is a passive column speaker with a length of 60 cm and a cabinet depth of only 9.4 cm. It has a wide horizontal and a small vertical dispersion of 160° x 110°. Larger areas can thus be covered evenly.
Due to its compact design, the JBL COL600 takes up little space and can be easily integrated virtually anywhere. According to IP54 (IEC60529), the speaker is protected against the ingress of dust and water and can be installed both indoors and outdoors. This makes it suitable as a space-saving sound reinforcement solution for meeting rooms, lecture halls, retail stores, restaurants, museums, foyers, etc..
The JBL COL600 is equipped with one 0.8" tweeter and two 5 "x2.25" woofers. The elongated shape of the woofers increases the diaphragm surface area, resulting in higher sound quality and improved bass response. For optimal coverage of the listening area, the tweeter is located at the top of the cabinet. With a frequency range of 70 Hz to 20 kHz, the column speaker delivers excellent music reproduction and speech intelligibility.
The chassis are installed with a tilt angle of -10°. The JBL COL600 can thus be installed close to the wall without having to tilt the housing down. For exact alignment, additional two L-brackets are already included as well as a swivel and tilt wall mount.
A switchable multi-tap transformer is integrated for 70/100 Volt and low impedance 8 Ohm operation.
