With the AKG Drumset Session 1, AKG offers a complete microphone set specifically for drummers. It contains seven microphones that are perfectly matched to the individual components of a drum set. This set is equally suitable for stage, rehearsal room and studio recording.
All included microphones have a robust metal housing with spring steel grill and a scratch-resistant surface. Thus, even a blow may be missed without immediate damage. Even the daily use on stage is no problem, the road-suitable aluminum case brings everything safely from gig to gig.
The excellent configuration allows a flexible use of the microphones. Four dynamic P4s are available for toms and snare. Two P17 condenser microphones are used classically overhead, or provide a very special groove on hi-hat and snare. The P2 on the kick drum makes a lot of pressure and punch.
With the AKG Drumset Session 1, you get a comprehensive microphone collection that offers far more application possibilities than pure drum pickup: Percussion, wind instruments, acoustic guitar and guitar amps, even choir recordings are just a few examples of what can be realized with these professional tools.
