The NMX-ENC-N2612S is an encoder for high-resolution signals up to 4K60 4:4:4. It transmits motion-based wavelet compressed video, audio and control protocol signals over the network to the NMX-DEC-N2622S or NMX-DEC-N2625-WP-EK decoders, is fanless and has a LocalPlay function. A second stream is simultaneously transmitted and independent routable as H.264 at 1080p stream and can also be used to interface with AMX N3000 series devices (e.g., decoders, windowing processors, and network video recorders). It can also stream to third-party devices, software codecs (e.g. VLC video player) and networks (e.g. other rooms, campus TV, YouTube live channels, etc.).
Inputs include 2x HMDI jacks for HDMI 2.0 (HDCP 2.2 compliant), 1x Micro-USB for USB2.0 as USB-Host. Audio can be transmitted as 8ch PCM embedded and via a 5pin header for analog stereo audio. Outputs are 1x HDMI local, 2x RJ-45 with or without PoE+ for network video over Ethernet with audio embedded. Control interfaces are 1x RS232 TX/RX, 1x IR TX, 1x IR RX and 1x USB Mini-B as host port. The encoder is controlled via a manufacturer-neutral Open API.
