The JBL CSS-H30 pressure chamber loudspeaker is specially designed for paging applications thanks to its good speech intelligibility. The very high maximum sound pressure and narrow dispersion range allow it to be used even in noisy environments and long distances. It is suitable for speech reinforcement of large department stores, factories, public buildings and squares, schools, sports facilities, parking garages, railroad stations, etc....
The JBL CSS-H30 has an integrated 350 Hz high-pass filter to protect against low-frequency signals. The coverage area is 50° horizontal and 70° vertical. A rotary switch allows selection of different transformer taps (70/100 volts) from 3.8 to 30 watts or 8 ohm operation. The 38 mm fullrange driver operates in a compression chamber. The frequency response ranges from 380 Hz to 6,000 Hz. The maximum sound pressure (peak) is 129 dB (133 dB at 1.4 kHz).
The JBL CSS-H30 is weatherproof to IP-65 (IEC529), making it well suited for outdoor applications. The housing is made of ABS plastic. The holder included in the delivery is made of stainless steel. Speaker and the holder are painted white RAL9016.
