Systems. Here all inputs & outputs and the DSP capacities converge. It can be controlled from the new control surfaces (Vi7000/5000 & Vi600/400/200) as well as from the Virtual Vi editor program. It can accommodate multiple stageboxes (up to five) as well as multiple Dante cards (up to five).
The Local Rack consists of two components. The Studer S Core Live can be equipped with either five (48kHz) or eight (96kHz) DSP cards for the Vi5000/7000 systems. It houses the processing power for 128 channels, 32 stereo busses, and the luxurious "Side Rack" with Lexicon effects, BSS graphic and dynamic EQs, and automatic mixers for 64 channels.
The D21m I/O frame below provides a convenient 384 inputs and 384 outputs, which can be distributed across 12 slots. With this capacity, for example, a system can be configured that simultaneously mixes 128 channels from the stage, provides 32 in-ear mixes plus sum and solo busses, and handles 128 tracks of recording/playback and 64 MADI streams for external plug-ins in parallel. Modular systems of this quality, scale and flexibility are hard to find elsewhere.
