The Control 89MS is an IP56-certified subwoofer for outdoor installation. It is suitable for sound reinforcement of garden, sports, leisure, hotel and park areas. Thanks to its discreet color, it can be inconspicuously integrated into green spaces.
The Control 89MS is the ideal woofer complement for the outdoor speakers of the JBL Control 80 series. Its downward radiating 8" long-throw driver provides precise bass response down to 40 Hz, with a max. sound pressure of 115 dB (peak). The built-in low-pass crossover with dual-slope filter further enhances the sound.
The outdoor subwoofer has a multi-stage transformer. It can thus be operated in 8 Ω mode as well as in 70/100 volt systems.
According to IEC529, the Control 89MS is certified to IP56 for outdoor use (protected against dust and strong jets of water). The housing is made of rugged polyethylene, fully sealed and provides protection against moisture. All external parts are made of stainless steel and some are additionally powder coated.
For easy fixing to the floor, the subwoofer has three mounting points. However, the lower part of the housing can also be sunk or buried in the ground.
