The JBL JRX225 is a high-power, full-range system with dual drivers in the low frequency range. It is the first choice when very high sound pressure without external subwoofer and an attractive price / performance ratio is required. Mobile DJ's, discos or bands with club gigs are among the typical users of this type of speaker.
The two M115-8A chassis provide not only high sound pressure but also an extended frequency response in the bass range. As with all JBL JRX200 full-range speakers, the high frequency range is supplemented by the new 2414H-C driver. This is a variant of the 2414H driver, which is also used, for example, in the VerTec VT4886 line array.
The dispersion pattern of the Progressive TransitionTM tweeter horn is 90° x 50°. The JBL JRX225's nominal impedance of 4 ohms allows for extremely efficient use of the power amplifier. Continuous power handling is 500 watts, while peak power handling extends to 2,000 watts. Thus, a max. peak sound pressure of 133 dB is achieved.
A Speakon socket and a 6.3 mm jack socket offer optimal flexibility in terms of connection to the power amplifier.
