The Soundcraft Si Expression digital mixers offer the operating concept and manufacturing quality of the Si Compact and Performer mixers in a new price dimension. There are three models, each providing 16, 24 or 32 faders and mic preamps. The smallest mixer is 19" rack ready. All models have identical features and DSP scope.
DSP galore - 66 processing channels (54 mono and 6 stereo), 31 output busses, 4 Lexicon effects units, 31 BSS graphic equalizers, gates, compressors, delays in the inputs and outputs - with this Soundcraft heralds a new era in this price class.
No digital clipping - the 40-bit floating point technology, already used in the Studer Vista and Soundcraft Vi consoles, guarantees almost unlimited headroom at the digital level (no digital clipping possible) and ensures that the high sound quality and the "integrated sideracks" are available without restriction even when the console is heavily loaded.
Fader Glow - illuminated fader paths provide an optimal overview in the four freely assignable layers. Recognition instead of reading is the principle. Fader Glow avoids embarrassing mistakes during the show.
Assignable Channel Strip (ACS) - an operating concept that even "analog mixing console engineers" will immediately get to grips with. This principle allows true analog work, since a complete channel strip is available, which is merely "shifted back and forth" with the press of a button. Global Mode - in addition to the ACS, a row of potentiometers provides access to either gain, pan or high pass filters of the channels/busses at any time.
The One Touch Easy Mix - this feature allows quick mixing of the channel signals to the mix buses. By selecting a Mix Bus (e.g. FX Bus 1) 5 steps are done automatically: All existing Solo functions are switched off, the FX1 faders are set to the channel faders (Fader Glow with e.g. blue faders), the Bus Master is available on the far right and on the Channel Strip and is automatically switched to the headphones via SOLO, for example. In practice, this means that for the monitor mix of four musicians or for four effect mixes, I only have to press a total of 5 keys for 40 work steps.
Additional I/O - everything is possible - the integrated card slot not only allows the connection of any Soundcraft/STUDER stagebox via MADI but also provides all common I/O formats for recording or network connection if required.
FOH/Monitor with DOGS - the switchable gain compensation (Digital Output Gain Stabilazation) allows FOH/Monitor scenarios where the gain control on one console is changed during the show without changing the level on the other console. This means no stress, clean levels, happy musicians, happy audience. Shows created on Si Expression V1.5, Si Performer V1.5 and Si Compact V3.0 can be loaded and edited on the other console.
Remote Control "Unlimited" - with the free available ViSi App several Soundcraft digital consoles (also Si and Vi mixed) can be controlled from one iPad or a single console from several iPads (e.g. for different zones or signal groups).
The Soundcraft Si Expression series is perfectly suited for touring sound applications as well as for theater/festival installations.
Offline Editor Program - Allows console settings, labels, routings, etc. to be created as show files and later loaded into the console.
