The Matrix-42 is a 4-input, 2-output matrix switcher for high-resolution HDMI signals up to 4K@60Hz with 4:4:4, 8-bit color sampling. It supports HDR10, HLG and Dolby Vision and is HDCP2.2 compliant. If a device that does not support 4K resolutions is connected to an output, the output signal is automatically downscaled to 1080p resolution.
At each of the outputs, the embedded audio signal can be decoupled, depending on the output as stereo analog, S/PDIF and ARC from the display.
The operation can be done manually via two front buttons, selecting one of the four inputs for each output. An additional direct switching of an input to one or both outputs is possible via the included IR remote control. Via the serial RS232 interface (API) an operation via PC or a media control is possible. The detailed description of the control commands is freely available for download.
