The controller is an EDID emulator that can be used to add EDID information to an HDMI signal in order to adjust the resolution of the video signal to the optimal resolution of a connected projector, display or monitor. It can be used whenever there is no EDID processing at the output of a router or switcher.
The device provides 15 pre-programmed standard EDIDs, which can be selected via an integrated rotary wheel. In addition, non-preprogrammed EDID information can be copied at the output and forwarded to the source.
Depending on an applied signal, automatic power on or power off commands can be sent to a display/projector via RS232, CEC, automatic control of a screen via relay contacts is also possible. Audio signals embedded in HDMI can be decoupled as analog stereo audio or as S/PDIF.
