The JBL AW526, AW566 and AW595 (AW = All Weather) are 15"/1.5" weatherproof high performance loudspeakers with built-in 70/100 volt transformer. The coverage angle is 120°x60° (AW 526), 60°x60° (AW 566) or 90°x50° (AW 595). Due to the rotatable horn, all systems are suitable for horizontal and vertical use.
The housing is made of gray hand-laminated plastic reinforced with fiberglass. The three-layer speaker cover is constructed of powder-coated stainless steel grille, acoustic foam and fine stainless steel mesh. All JBL AW systems are certified to IP56 (IEC 529) for outdoor use.
The 15" woofer chassis 2265H with dual voice coil and the 1.5" tweeter driver 2432H use neodymium magnets. The maximum sound pressure is 130 dB peak. The frequency range is from 34 Hz to 20 kHz at -10 dB. The integrated 70/100 volt transformer has power taps at 400 watts, 200 watts as well as 100 watts (70 volts only). The rear rounded enclosure has two M10 threads for the U-bolt as well as one M10 thread for additional securing. The speakers each have a weight of 27.1 kg. The included U-bracket is made of stainless steel and is suitable for both wall and 90° corner mounting. Typical applications are demanding outdoor sound reinforcement applications such as amusement parks, sports stadiums, swimming pools, outdoor stages or cruise ships. Optionally, the JBL AW loudspeakers are also available in black instead of gray.
