The AKG CK99 L is a clip-on microphone for speakers, presentations and theater performances. A slight frequency boost in the treble range provides a transparent sound and improved speech intelligibility. The wide pickup angle of 125° makes the AKG CK99 L especially recommended for inexperienced or lively speakers. Even if they move their head a lot while speaking, the sound image remains very even.
In microphones with a cardioid polar pattern, the sound is picked up from the front. This makes the microphone insensitive to feedback and well shielded from ambient noise. In addition, a bass roll-off reduces disturbing background noise in the bass range (caused by movement).
Due to its low weight of only 2.5 g, the AKG CK99 L is hardly noticeable to the speaker. It is very small and can be attached inconspicuously to clothing with the retaining clip.
The AKG CK99 L is a condenser microphone and requires a power supply (phantom power) of 9 - 52 volts. It can be connected to pocket transmitters of wireless systems or to a phantom power supply via the mini-XLR plug.
A windscreen and a metal clip are included.
