Vistonics II, Fader Glow, 40-bit floating point processing, Lexicon, BSS - features you'll only find on Soundcraft/STUDER mixers.

The Vistonics II operating concept, derived from the Studer Vista consoles, means: direct access to all functions and at the same time an overview of all 96 input and 35 output levels. According to Production Partner, the unique integration of knobs and switches into the five touch screen displays (Vi6) is "A real blast!".

Fader Glow is another Studer/Soundcraft Group patent. Continuous color coding of the various output busses (aux sends = orange, groups = green...) provides a convenient overview - whether monitor or FOH application. Soundcraft's ultra-low noise preamp design with Burr-Brown IC as well as Studer's advanced 40 bit floating point processing guarantee highest sound quality and allow 100% utilization of all DSP resources.

The Soundcraft Vi2's mixing console system consists of three components: A compact, space-saving control unit with 20 faders and a multitude of rotary controls. A Local Rack with the Studer SCore DSP engine, analog and digital inputs and outputs (Line, Mic, AES/EBU, MADI) and the processor board with Lexicon effects and BSS equalizers. A stage rack with up to 64 inputs and/or 64 outputs (analog or digital). Two control units/local racks can be connected to the stage rack for combined FOH/monitor applications.

Depending on the system size, up to 96 input channels, 32 output busses (aux, group or matrix) and three summing busses (LCR) are available. 24 inserts can be additionally routed. 192 physical inputs and 192 outputs can be managed by the DSP core in the local rack. This also allows the connection of multiple stage racks for distributed systems (e.g. multiple stages).

Since the systems are basically identical, the racks are compatible with all three interfaces. In addition, saved shows can also be transferred between Soundcraft Vi mixing consoles. With the editor program "Virtual Vi" you can program complete shows offline or online and transfer them from the USB stick to the console in a few seconds. All Soundcraft Si Performer, Si Compact and Vi series consoles can be controlled remotely via the ViSi app available in the app store. This allows control of multiple Soundcraft Vi/Si consoles from one app as well as access to the same console by multiple engineers via I-Pad.
