The AKG C747 V11 is a slim directional microphone for universal use in installations and in the studio. The "pencil microphone" has a straight frequency response and brilliant sound. It is therefore suitable for a wide range of instruments, for example for miking snare drums and string instruments.
Thanks to its highly focused directivity, the AKG C747 V11 can be used to solve annoying crosstalk problems, especially when recording multiple instruments, as well as unwanted pickup of various noise sources in the room. The additional switchable low-frequency filter suppresses mechanical noise. A transformerless, low-impedance preamplifier operates smoothly on any 9-52 volt phantom power. This feature predestines the directional microphone especially for broadcasting, recording studios, theaters, opera houses, churches and conference rooms.
In order to optimize the AKG C747 V11 especially for conference systems, the microphone has been upgraded in version 11 with some features from the installation sector. The AKG C747 V11 has built-in radio shielding to protect the microphone from interference from cell phones, computers and other radiating devices. The microphone's frequency response has been further refined and directivity improved without compromising the classic C747 sound.
