The JBL ASB7118 is a direct radiating 18" subwoofer in bass reflex technology. The equipment consists of an 18" neodymium chassis (2269H) with a 100 mm dual voice coil and a power handling of 2,000 watts. This chassis currently represents the ultimate in state-of-the-art transducer technology.
The JBL ASB7118 has a very high maximum level of 135 dB peak. At the same time, it has an extremely low cutoff frequency of 22 Hz (-10 dB).
The large reflex ports are optimized for lowest distortion and minimal air turbulence. Connection is via screw terminals or a four-pin Speakon jack. The housing with rectangular floor plan offers 16x M10 threads for mounting eyebolts.
The JBL ASB7118 is the perfect combination of small footprint and highest possible acoustic performance.
Typical applications are demanding sound reinforcement tasks with very high levels, extreme dynamic range and lowest cut-off frequencies such as live clubs, discos, multi-purpose halls, theaters or sports venues.
