The JBL CBT 70J is a passive 2-way columnloudspeaker with a length of 70 cm. It is equipped with 16x tweeters and 4x 5" woofers. It provides controlled dispersion from 800 to 20,000 Hz or 400 - 20,000 Hz with the JBL CBT 70JE extension. The integrated passive circuit thereby controls the chassis with different delay times. Depending on the application, the vertical dispersion angle can be switched from 25° to 45° by activating other delay times. The asymmetrical enclosure shape aligns the lower tweeters in the direction of the near field. The upper tweeters, on the other hand, supply the more distant areas. This results in a very homogeneous sound distribution over the entire depth of the room. Depending on the sound reinforcement task, the sound characteristics of the JBL CBT 70J can be switched from speech to music.
Typical applications are highly reflective or acoustically problematic listening areas such as churches, train stations, airports, schools, shopping malls or exhibition areas. Due to the precise dispersion characteristics of the JBL CBT columnloudspeakers, the systems can be aligned very accurately. Thus, the sound energy is concentrated on the pure listening area and destructive reflections are minimized. The result is a clear and precise reproduction with very high speech intelligibility.
The included wall mount and the 10x M6 mounting points on the back allow for a variety of installation options. The JBL CBT 70J column is available in black and white (WH).
