The JBL Control 47 is an in-ceiling loudspeaker with a very uniform frequency response over the entire dispersion range. This is achieved by the Radiation Boundary Integrator (RBI).
The RBI is a special component that combines a phase wedge tuned to the cone with a tweeter horn. The Control 47 is ideally suited for high-quality speech and music reinforcement.
The high-performance speaker is equipped with a 6.5" woofer and a coaxially arranged 1" tweeter. Other features include a 70/100 volt transformer with 8 ohm bypass circuitry, a solid metal cabinet and a visually pleasing front grille.
The JBL Control 47 is available in 3 variants:
The Control 47C/T is the standard version with medium cabinet depth and a conical dispersion of 120°. The LP (low profile) version is especially suitable for low ceiling suspensions due to its shallow cabinet depth. The beam angle is also 120°. The HC (high ceiling) version is designed for high ceilings with a high mounting depth. The low beam angle of 75° is optimized for high and reverberant rooms.
