The Soundcraft Vi1000 is the most compact Vi mixer with DSP and integrated inputs/outputs. On a good 80 cm width, the user has 20 faders and 2 Vistonics touchscreens at his disposal.
The "inner workings" are identical to the larger Vi2000/3000 models. An optimally tuned mix of FPGA and SHARC processing technology enables routing and DSP capabilities that are unprecedented for this size and price range. Studer 40 bit floating point, Lexicon effects units, BSS DPR901 Dynamic EQs, V-Mix automatic mixers - all familiar buzzwords that have helped define the status of the Soundcraft Vi series.
Thanks to Spider Core, the Soundcraft Vi1000 offers 96 mixer channels, 24 mono or stereo buses (auxes, groups or matrix). Another 10 permanently configured buses are available for the LCR summing and solo rails. 128 additional tie lines (point-to-point connections) complete the signal routing. The Spider Core provides an impressive pool of 212 inputs and 212 outputs for patching to the channels, buses and tie lines.
The Soundcraft Vi1000 - like all Soundcraft digital mixing consoles - can be complemented with all Soundcraft Studer stageboxes. Existing show files from other Vi consoles can be loaded into the Vi1000 and vice versa.
New for the Vi series is the possible integration of Sennheiser radio links (besides AKG and Shure) starting with software 6.4 (end of 2017)
