The NMX-DEC-N2212C decoder card can decode JPEG 2000 compressed streams in HDMI format and display them on any screen.
The JPEG2000 compression method greatly compresses HD videos without a significant reduction in image quality, so they require less bandwidth.
Using the Local Play function, 8 playlists with up to 64 JPG and PNG files can be uploaded. When the video stream is interrupted, the stored images are played back, avoiding blank displays.
Audio signals can be received independently of the video signal, either as a standard audio stream, or as an AES67 stream directly and without further conversion from devices on the network that support AES67.
An RS232 and an IR interface can be used to control the connected sink, and a second Ethernet interface allows control via Ethernet. This TCP/IP interface is also usable for connecting operating devices of a media control system, expansion interface boxes with control interfaces, and as a tunneled network connection for PCs and laptops.
