The NMX-ENC-N2122A-C is an encoder card for transmitting AV signals in HDMI format over standard Ethernet networks. Using the JPEG2000 compression method, HD videos are highly compressed without a significant reduction in image quality, so they require less bandwidth.
Video quality and bandwidth usage can be controlled via a web-based user interface. This allows the available bandwidth in the network to be optimally utilized.
HDCP can be turned on or off for transmission of copy-protected content. Audio signals can be transmitted independently of the video signal, either as a standard audio stream, or as an AES67 stream directly and without further conversion to devices on the network that support AES67.
An RS232 and an IR interface can be used to control the connected source, and a second Ethernet interface allows control via Ethernet. This TCP/IP interface can also be used to connect operating devices of a media control system, expansion interface boxes with control interfaces, and as a tunneled network connection for PCs and laptops.
