The NMX-DEC-N1233A-C is a decoder card for video reception over standard Ethernet networks. Using the MPC compression method, videos are visually compressed without loss, require less bandwidth and can be received with almost no latency.
Audio signals can be received independently of the video signal, either as a standard audio stream, or as an AES67 stream directly and without further conversion from devices on the network that support AES67.
An RS232 and an IR interface can be used to control the connected sink, and a second Ethernet interface allows control via Ethernet. This TCP/IP interface is also usable for connecting operating devices of a media control system, expansion interface boxes with control interfaces, and as a tunneled network connection for PCs and laptops.
Via the SFP interface, it is possible to receive the signals from a fiber optic or copper network using commercially available SFP modules and to increase the range during signal transmission.
