Soundcraft offers a new, powerful computer module as an upgrade to Vi400. The upgrade can be done by the user himself. Afterwards, the console has many additional possibilities and the boot time is reduced to approx. 30 seconds.
The new hard disk and graphics card of the module allows the installation of the latest software developed for Vi2000 to Vi7000 consoles (6.2xx or higher). Some features of this new Vi generation are also available on Vi200/400/600 systems after the update. These include the use of the latest ViSi Remote App (incl. control of channel parameters), more inserts, more tie lines, the assignment of input channels to the masterbay, and the integration of AKG DMS800 and Shure QLX/ULX-D radio links into the Vistonics display of the preamps.
Mirroring - Multiple networked control panels on one system (6.2 or higher)
The user can also combine three remote control options in "mirroring" mode: Vi hardware surface, Windows computer/tablet, or the ViSi app via iPad.
This opens up a wide range of convenient control scenarios. All "new" surfaces (Vi200/400/600, Vi2000/3000/5000/7000) as well as the Virtual Vi Editor software can be networked with each other and then configured as master or slave.
Even if the same (master) system is mirrored and controlled everywhere, independent work is possible on different fader levels and optionally even with separate solo circuits for each control unit. This allows extremely flexible redundancy, backup, expander and remote applications.
