The NMX-ENC-N3132-C is an encoder card for the transmission of AV signals over standard Ethernet networks. Due to the H.264 compression method, videos are played back in high image quality despite reduced data rate.
For example, when transmitting1080p60 content, the required data rate is reduced by at least half while maintaining the same quality. The bit rates can be set between 32 Kbit/s and 10 Mbit/s, allowing the network capacity to be optimally utilized. Due to the low bandwidth, up to 1,000 streams can be transmitted simultaneously even at 1 Gbit/s.
The NMX-ENC-N3132 supports both unicast and multicast transmission to one or more decoders. Various streaming protocols are supported, including RTP and RTSP. Streams can thus also be received by software players (e.g. VideoLan VLC) or third-party decoders (e.g. Roku, Amino, Google TV, etc.).
It is suitable for signal transmission to many playout devices simultaneously, while keeping bandwidth requirements low. Thus, transmission to WAN networks up to the Internet is possible.
